Highlights from today's show

10:15- Did you have to write a big check to your child's school today for yearly fees? We will talk to Greater Victoria School Board trustee John Young. He says "every school-age child should be able to attend a public school without a fee for anything". He says parents should complain about illegal fees.
11:15- Tony Horkins has just interviewed a major pop star and liked her. We'll find out who that was. (Answer is PINK).
11:45 -Erin McLaughlin is the editor of Canadian Home and Country magazine. She will be a regular contributor on the Nik and Marke Show.
12:00 - We will talk to Debra McPherson who is the President of the BCNU. She participated in the Labour Day Protest at the Vancouver Art Gallery demanding the the minimum wage be raised to $10.00 and hour.

12:30- Marcie Moriarity is the cruelty investigator for the BCSPCA. She will tell us about the recent charges filed against three Surrey men who have been charged with running what's been referred to as the largest cockfighting operation ever found in Canada.

12:45- Uber Editor Bonnie Fuller is blogging on the Huffington Post. This week's rant is about VP hopeful Sarah Pallin.

1:15 - Anna Wallner is one half of "The Shopping Bags". We'll talk to her about Christina and her new show premiering on W Network tonight at 8:00 pm called "The Grocery Bags".

1:30 - Michael Menner is a member of Democrats Abroad in Vancouver and am co-chair of their communications committee. We'll get his take on the Presidential campaign so far. |
